Tomorrow is our Winter dance and I am so happy because all of the dances are fun! I am going with some friends. First when I get to the dance I’ll have alot of fun. Then maybe after I might go home or go to a friends house and sleepover and go to her recitle in the morning. If I sleepover I have to wake up early, but it’s okay because I love watching her sing. My friend might come also. Then after the recitle we are going to the movie theater and see “Breaking Dawn Part 1” again. Then I’ll just be home Sunday. I am so excited about my weekend.

Christmas Poems

Christmas time is here
Time for everyone to cheer
Santa comes  to town,
With elves in his Christmas crown,
While your sleeping he comes down creeping,
With toys in his bag, wishing you a very merry Christmas.

Santa’s here spreading Christmas cheer,
All around the world, with a swirled lollipop for John Beard,
And bows for his toes, Sally Susie got a sucker too,
And Joe go got a fro and went loco.

Review of a Child Called it.

Authors note: I felt about writing about this book because it was a new thing that I have never rote about. I also liked this book because it is a favorite of many

Child Abuse. What do you think about it? This book is one of the saddest stories that I have ever read.  I have had some of my friends read it and they say the same thing. My sister recommended this book to me and I took a shot and read it. I have read this book so many times and it never gets old. This is a story about a little boy named David.
When David was about three years old he had a great life. Their family was the most perfect thing. They would go everywhere, parks, picnics and even trips to a river. The parents were madly in love and they did everything for their kids. When David turned about 4 years old, that’s when the mother went crazy and started abusing David.
At first the mother wouldn’t let David talk to his siblings, and she was non-stop with him and chores. The dad can’t help him anymore because the mom will blow up and they fight. David is the only one abused in his family. The mother has her own little games that she plays and her own special beatings. One little beating is the mirror treatment and the soap. The mirror treatment is where she smashes his face in the mirror. The soap treatment is where she shoves a bar of soap down his throat.
Those beatings were the most common along with the kicked, punching and hitting. Throughout the chapter she would just abuse him with those treatments until she thought of more. Her next little horrible thing was to not feed him, well only feed him his brother’s leftovers.
One day she left David starve for about ten days! David didn’t have a name anymore all he was called was that boy or bad boy. At this time the father would try and try to help his son but he just couldn’t. All he wanted was food. At school he would steal food from other kids and they got suspicious and he got caught. Every time he got caught for something the mom would abuse him even more.
He then would steal from the grocery store, but that didn’t work out. The mom had read somewhere about putting your kid on a stove for something. When David got home from school one day she had the stove heated. She tried putting him on it, but then he wasted time from a short plan in his head and he was saved as soon as one of his brothers walked in. The mom had another baby so she was out of the house for a couple of days and he was so happy that his dad was there to feed him.
The mom takes everyone on a trip to the river again, she brought David but he still did chores and she tried making him eat a dirty diaper, but again someone from his family walked in and he thought he was saved. Then they walked out and then his mom made him eat it. When they  got back it was just same beatings for a while and then the mom threaten to kill David with a knife in her hand if he didn’t do his chores right. He knew she wouldn’t do it because he was threatened all the time, but this time his new brother was playing on her leg and she lost balance and actually stabbed him in the stomach.
He knew it was an accident because the look on her face. He was lucky because his mom took a class on nursing and after that she was a nicer to him. He still had a lot of chores but no beatings and he got a little of food and water. After he was healed she started again.
This time she sent the father away and he got beat even more. In the end the nurse would always check David everyday at school because he would always have bruises and finally David ran away. David was abused for six years. This is an inspirational story about a young man’s life.

Are you proud of your country?

Authors Note: I was very happy when I found out we had to write about this topic. Writing about this topic made me show how proud I am for my country.

Our country has fought so many times just to keep us safe and to keep what not every country has which is freedom. I am very proud of my country for standing strong and being brave for all of us people. I am so proud of my country for keeping us safe and fighting for not just one but all of our lives.

I would think many people are very proud of our country. If you are not proud no one should judge you because it is just an opinion. All of the people in the war may not know everyone in this country, but they do know that it is their job to keep us safe and they succeed in that  to make us happy, and like I said before very safe. I could not think of one person that is not proud of this country.

Every Christmas I am so glad that they sell the poppies for the army. If you donate a dollar to the Salvation Army, you get a poppy. During the 4th of July I am so happy to celebrate the accomplishments of the people that fight for us and most importantly their family. When soldiers go away to fight I love that they know that they have a family waiting for them when they get home. A family to enjoy them, their love and what they do best.

A lot of people have had family members in the army. Like my two great grandpas were both in World War 2, and when my great grandma was born the Great Depression was going on. Even though they aren’t here anymore It doesn’t mean that I am not proud of my great grandpas fighting for us and I am lucky that my great grandma survived the great depression as a baby or most of my family wouldn't be here. I am so proud of my country.

Summer Time

Authors Note: I wrote about a favorite season of a lot of people, This season is summer. I chose this topic because I haven't written about summer a lot and I wanted to try a new topic.

Why do you like summertime? Everyone likes summertime! Most people’s favorite time of the year is summer. My birthday is July 10th so that’s why I like summer. Some people like summer because you get to do whatever you want and there is no school.

The first few days of summer, people usually are couch potatoes or they just hang out with friends. There is not one person who does not love summer. Summer is three months long, therefore school is out for three months. During these three months, kids pretty much do anything unless they make plans before hand. For example, they hang out with friends for the day, or overnight, and sleep in at home or just stay at home.

Since we don’t have school we can all have fun! When we all don’t have school we don’t have to worry about home work and we don’t have to get all worked up about not having home work done. We also don’t have to worry about forgetting to charging our laptops the first day you get them, having A or B days for the first week and don’t think about classes you might miss or classes you have next year.

Summer is fun for everyone and it’s a chance were you can express yourself into what you like to do best. It’s where you can play sports and try new things and see what your good at for the next year. Summer is a chance were you can just let go of your mind, but make sure you still have it.
